Heat 1- Ti'erra Brown of Miami the 2010 runner-up wins in a new NCAA leading time of 55.59, with Ryan Krais of Kansas the All-American Heptahlete and Pentathlete in second with a time of 55.68, also faster than the previous NCAA leader.
Heat 2- Brittany Hyder of Arkansas wins in 56.46, with Andrea Southerland of Texas A&M in second in 56.49.
Heat 3- Cassandra Tate of LSU wins in 55.99 with Dalilah Muhammad of USC in second with 56.04.
Time qualifiers are Turquoise Thompson of UCLA in 55.99 and Jasmine Chaney of Arizona State in 56.08.

The Final is Brown's to lose even though Krais is right there she is also competing in the heptathlon starting tomorrow.
