Women's 100 hurdles prelims

Thursday, June 9, 2011

Heat 1- Nia Ali of USC wins with the fastest prelim time of 12.82. Kierre Brooks of South Carolina came up for second.
Heat 2- Christina Manning of Ohio State gets the win in 12.92 with teammate Letecia Wright finishing second.
Heat 3- Michaylin Golladay of Clemson wins in 13.01with LaTisha Holden of Arizona finishing second.
Time qualifiers are Ti'erra Brown runner-up from last year from Miami and Jackie Coward of UCF.

Texas A&M's chances of scoring points in the hurdles were dashed when Gabby Mayo and Natasha Ruddock both fell in their respective heats. Mayo hit the ninth hurdle and lost her footing and fell and slid through the tenth hurdle, while Ruddock took a tumble at about hurdle 6.

Ti'erra Brown should be the favorite to get win.
