Meseret Defar of Ethiopia the 2004 Olympic champ shows she still has it. She wins in a seasons best time of 14:37.32 over countrywomen Sentayehu Ejigu and Genzebe Dibaba. The front runners went through 3k at 8:50.36 with Defar leading. With 2 laps to go Dolores Checa of Spain took the lead, but Defar was not letting her run away. Defar retook the lead with 400 to go, only to have countrywoman Meselech Melkamu take it with 300 to go. Then with 150 left Defar, Ejigu, and Dibaba all pass Melkamu and Defar held on for the win. The top 5 spots went to Ethiopians. 
Defar did a dance with the crowd while on her victory lap.
