Jessica Beard of Texas A&M wins in 51.10 a new NCAA leading time. Beard the indoor champ went out a little conservatively letting Joanna Atkins of auburn come up on her inside, but Beard did not panic and out kicked Atkins over the last 100. Atkins finished second in 51.50 with Diamond Dixon of Kansas in third. Dixon is the only woman to beat Beard this season.
