Aries Merritt of the USA wins. From the start of the race Merritt, Dwight Thomas of Jamaica, and Andy Turner of GBR were the class of the field. over the last hurdle Merritt and Thomas left Turner, and in the end Merritt out leaned Thomas 13.12 to 13.15 respectively. The time for Thomas is a new Jamaican record, breaking his own record of 13.16 set in 2009. Turner fell back to fourth after a fast finishing Joel Brown of the USA finished third in a new PR of 13.20.
